Test The Ozone Level In the Air You Breathe
Ozone (O3)can
be very unhealthy for you. The unstable 3rd atom of oxygen readily attaches
itself to anything it can react with including your lungs and body tissue, causing
oxidation. This is the very thing anti-oxidants such as vitamin C are trying
to prevent. In fact ozone is toxic and in high concentrations can even cause
fatality. Even at low concentrations of ozone, sensitive individuals can experience
unpleasant symptoms such as headaches and nausea.
Unfortunately, smog, most electronic
products, almost all ionizers, many UV lights and even some air purifiers produce
ozone. Now you can test for the level of ozone in your home or workplace very
inexpensively and have results within an hour.
Originally developed for NASA, the
OzoneWatch is a simple, effective, convenient and inexpensive test for ozone.
Each kit contains two test strips in a vacuum-packed pouch.
Simply expose the test strip in the
area you want to test. After one hour, the center of the test circle will change
color depending on the amount of exposure to ozone. Simply match the color of
the test card to the attached color chart to determine ozone levels.
