I replaced my old single stage shower filter with this 2 stage
system a few weeks ago and I was amazed at the difference it made.
Although the old unit (which cost almost as much) did remove most
of the chlorine smell, I could always tell that some stuff was getting
through. I am moderately chemically sensitive so I can detect many
odors that other people may not notice. This 2 stage unit really
removed every trace of odor I could personally detect from my shower
water. It really does feel like I was showering in spring or drinking
water. This unit uses a much larger filter cartridge than other
units on the market, I would estimate the cartridge weighs about
3-4 times that of my old single stage unit. I am sure the larger
amount of filter media and having 2 types of filter media in combination
makes the difference. The other thing I noticed was considerably
less reduction in water pressure.

Using this shower filter truly feels like showering in spring water. The effect is so invigorating and cleansing, not to mention healthy. The toxicity of chlorine and other contaminants is something that is not realized by a large number of the population. Great addition to a healthy lifestyle.
Ok, when one of your girlfriends shows up to work and you're like "Wow, what products did you put in your hair?" (note: her normally frizzy locks were beautiful ringlets)... she exclaimed, "It's that filter".

Filter worked fine for 9 months. Then it suddenly started spraying water everywhere. I was told by Aquasana customer service of a sediment problem in my state. That may or may not be true, but the problem seemed to lie elsewhere. The filter and shower head developed cracks that caused the unit to fail. The only thing aquasana told me was that I'd need to purchase a new unit at full cost. I've decided to invest in a metal shower filter to alleviate the problem of cheap plastic housings. Buyer beware.
The 2-Stage Water Filter is absolutely wonderful!
All of the strong terrible smelling chlorine is filtered out along with other deadly chemicals. Showering with this filter system leaves you feeling clean, soft and refreshed. I love it, and I believe anyone that uses it will atest to the same conclusion. Thank you for a wonderful product!

I can't believe what a difference this filter makes. I didn't really notice the problems until I started using it. I could tell how much "cleaner" the shower water was (by that, I mean that it smelled clean and physically felt better) once I used it for the first time. Not only that, but my hair felt much better and my skin doesn't dry out so much anymore. I no longer need to use conditioner everytime I wash my hair. I think this is a good investment and you only need to change the filter every 4-6 months, depending on usage.
Before I started using this shower filter, I was unable to shower for more than a few minutes without getting a headache from the chlorine gas. Now, I can shower for as long as I want, and I have noticed great improvements in my skin and hair, too! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is concerned about his or her health or who has dry skin and hair.
