The Pet Machine filter contains a 60 sq. ft. HEPA filter to filter out 99.97% of air borne particles larger than 0.3 microns. Unlike many other air filters that vent in all directions, the Pet Machine has one concentrated air outlet. By positioning the unit in the right place (an easy process since it has built-in casters), you can direct the airflow right where you want it, creating a pocket of purified air right where you are sitting or sleeping. This dramatically increases the effectiveness of the filter since you can breathe clean air within seconds without waiting for the entire room to be filtered.
An air filter is useless if it is turned off. The Pet Machine is so quiet you won't mind having it on all the time, even when you are sleeping. Its three speed settings let you find the perfect balance between sound and airflow. Use high to quickly clear the area of new odors or pollutants, medium for normal use, and low when you want minimal sound. Since it is designed to run continously for years, you can leave it on around the clock.
The Pet Machine requires very little maintenance. We suggest vacuuming the outer surface of the unit monthly and washing the two pre-filters once a year.
The HealthMate comes in 3 colors to coordinate with your home decor. Sandstone, an offwhite slightly textured finish that coordinates with most interiors, is the most popular. White is popular in more sterile environments, and black coordinates well with high-tech or darker interiors.
