The IQAir GC Series was specially developed for the removal of gaseous chemicals.
Each model is designed to remove specific gaseous contaminants and odors. The
GC Series is recommended for MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity) sufferers because
they take out a wide range of gasses.
The GC Ammonia Gas Control Air Purifier is specifically designed to
remove ammonia, amines, ammonia-based odors and particulates.
This unit does not have the HyperHEPA particle filter of the HealthPro series
but instead has a special gas phase filter which is able to capture a wide array
of gaseous chemicals at high levels of efficiency. Other features of IQAir GC
Series systems important to MCS sufferers are:
- Contains no gaskets or sealants which leak chemicals
- The housing is made of fully cured, non-off-gasing premium ABS plastic
- The IQAir fan motor is located before the gas phase filter and before the
particle post filter. The fan motor is varnish free.
- The gas filter is followed by a high-efficiency particulate post-filter
that holds back any particles from the gas phase filter.
- The gas filter cartridges can be changed independently of the other filters
in the air cleaner. This avoids cross contamination and allows for independent
replacement. The gas phase filter is protected by a high-efficiency pre-filter
against premature particle contamination.
- Has near HEPA quality particulate filtration with 99% removal of particles
larger than 0.3 microns.
Other Features Common to All IQAir models include:
Intelligent Filter Life Monitor
Ordinary air cleaners have you guess when to replace filters or use a preset
timer. IQAir’s intelligent filter life monitor takes actual use, speed
settings and air quality conditions into account. This ensures maximum filter
yield and performance from your IQAir system. Control panel shows remaining
life of each individual filter, down to the hour. Color changes from green-orange-red
to signal filter replacement need.
Up to Six Fan Speed Settings
Most air cleaners provide only two or three fan speed settings. You have to run
the unit either on a quiet but ineffective fan speed, or choose a more powerful,
but noisy speed. IQAir systems give you the choice of up to six fan speeds, allowing
you to select the ideal performance-to-sound ratio.
Integrated Timer
Each IQAir system can be programmed to run automatically. Set the unit to run
during office hours or program it in your bedroom to go on after you have reached
deep slumber.
Remote Control
Each IQAir system comes with a remote control which allows to turn the unit
on and off, select the fan speed and activate the timer.
Every Unit Made is Individually Tested
In an industry where most air cleaners don’t actually meet their manufacturers’
claims, IQAir tests and certifies each and every IQAir system. In our Swiss
production facility, each unit is tested for particle filtration efficiency,
filter leakage and air delivery. Each unit is issued with its very own two-page
Certificate of Performance, detailing the test results for that very machine.

IQAir systems feature a revolutionary modular tower design, which snaps
open to allow access to all filters in a matter of seconds. No tools are required
to make filter changes.
