This really works! My hair and skin feels so much better and the chlorine smell is gone. My only warning is that you get so used to the improved shower experience that running out of refills is quite awful. AlerG can ship overnight but you are better off stocking up than having to pay for next day air delivery.
I really enjoy our orange shower filter. It does a wonderful job removing the chlorine from the water. My skin is less dry and itchy, and just feels better overall. I can definately tell when the filter needs replaced.
The hotter the shower the quicker the filter is used.
Here, in California's Alameda County, the water is treated with chlormine -- the chemical that kills your goldfish if you don't conteract it. The only product that I've found that filters chloramine without quickly using up the life of the filter, is the Vitamin C shower filter, made in Korea. I felt I had to find a filter because not only does my skin and hair react badly to chlorine and chloramine, but I noticed that my breathing was affected -- showering seems to turn water into a spray that you breath in, as well as reaching your skin surface.
