Unfortunately, many so-called fragrance-free products manufactured by the big name companies are not truly fragrance-free. US regulations allow the use of the term "fragrance-free" if the product has less fragrance than "normal" products. Careful examination of the ingredient lists of some of these products that claim to be fragance-free will usually reveal some masking fragrance amongst the multitude of ingredients. Furthermore, laws governing trade secrets allow companies to hide the exact formulation of the ingredients used.
