 As the world becomes more toxic from pollutants, more and more people are
discovering that they suffer from fragrance and perfume allergies, multiple
chemical sensitivities, environmental illness, asthma, and other conditions that make fragrances intolerable.

If you cannot tolerate fragrance, using the right hair products is very important.
This is because your hair is only inches from your nose and the large surface
area of your hair will produce a cloud of fragranced air that will surround
your head wherever you go. Furthermore, since hair absorbs chemicals and fragrances,
it can take days to wash fragrances out of your hair.
Unfortunately, many so-called fragrance-free products manufactured by the big
name companies are not truly fragrance-free. US regulations allow the use of
the term "fragrance-free" if the product has less fragrance than "normal"
products. Careful examination of the ingredient lists of some of these products
that claim to be fragance-free will usually reveal some masking fragrance amongst
the multitude of ingredients. Furthermore, laws governing trade secrets allow companies
to hide the exact formulation of the ingredients used.
