AllerAir Air Purifiers
About AllerAir Industries
AllerAir Industries is a company which has the heart of a family business, but the mindset of a fortune 500 competitor. AllerAir was established 14 years ago after President Sam Teitelbaum's wife developed Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS). Finding that no air purifier on the market provided her with safe and effective relief, he decided to develop his own product, one which he vowed would prove to be the most effective and cost efficient air purifier available. Along with partner Wayne Martin, and a committed team of employees, AllerAir developed over 100 models to meet any air purification need --- more models, in fact, than any other manufacturer.

Why AllerAir Air Purifiers?
With more and more people realizing the dangers of polluted indoor air, purification has become big business. This has encouraged large companies, who don't really specialize in air purification, to put out units, or as we say "boxes", to simple cash-in on a growing market. Many times their products are not manufactured with the end-user in mind, with units that even off-gas more pollutants into the environment! At AllerAir we don't simply specialize in air purification we live it. Our purpose is not simply to move boxes, but to innovate, design and sell safe, high-quality, and well-priced air cleaning equipment which improves quality of life for families, and protects the health and safety of employees. From improving a child's allergies to large scale disaster restoration, AllerAir is committed to profitability through customized problem solving - offering safe and effective solutions to any air purification problem.
AllerAir's Carbon-HEPA VS Other Technologies Used in Air Purification
Ozone generators that are sold as air "purifiers" or air "cleaners" intentionally produce the gas ozone. Ozone causes a chemical reaction with other substances which, some manufactures claim, can render indoor air pollutants harmless. However, this same ability to react with substances, also gives ozone the power to react with the human body, potentially causing some serious health problems. When inhaled in sufficient qualities, ozone can damage the lungs, cause chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath, and throat irritation. Ozone may also worsen chronic respiratory problems such as asthma and allergies. In addition, scientific evidence has shown that for many of the chemicals commonly found in indoor environments, the reaction process may take months or years, and produce harmful or irritating byproducts in the process. Ozone has also been shown to be ineffective in removing particles and many odor-causing chemicals from the air.* (* See the EPA's "Ozone Generators that are Sold as Air Cleaners: An Assessment of Effectiveness and Health Consequences")
Carbon-HEPA based-purifiers meanwhile, cause no chemical reactions; can pose no serious health or environmental threats and can be used safely 24 hours a day.
Both the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and American Lung Association advise against using these devices. Electrostatic air purifiers work by using a powerful electric field to charge air borne particles. Collector plates then attract these "charged" particles, thereby trapping them in the unit. A by-product of these electrostatic machines is a small measure of ozone, which in sufficient quantities can be toxic to certain people (see above). A consumer magazine recently tested a popular electrostatic precipitator and stated that it removed very few particles from the air.
In comparison, carbon-HEPA purifiers are recognized as a highly effective way to remove airborne participles, chemicals, gases and odors. Above all they are also safe and emit no harmful by-products.
Some manufactures that have recognized the adsorption power of carbon, use a form of foam media which has been sprayed with carbon. However, these "treated" filters often feature only a quarter or an eighth of an inch of carbon. This translates to perhaps 2 oz. - an amount so ineffective that depending on the environment, it could stop adsorbing within hours.
AllerAir units used pounds of activated granular carbon which can last for years depending on the level of pollutants present in the environment.
HEPA filters are a highly effective way to remove airborne particles. Designed to filter out 99.97% of particles up to 0.03 microns, HEPA technology is used in hospitals, laboratories and in restoration. Yet while HEPA technology is ideal for particle removal, it cannot remove gases, odors and chemicals from the air.
AllerAir's combination of HEPA technology and activated carbon not only removes particles, but the most harmful and worrisome of the indoor air pollutants - gases and chemicals. Anyone truly serious about removing indoor contaminants must choose a purifier that features many pounds of activated, granular carbon.
"...from the second we turned [your air purifier] on we could see it immediately start to remove the smoke. This unit is 100% worth every penny!"
I bought this unit for my office/home because we are very heavy smokers. I've tried all different types of filters and filtration systems to remove the odor and actual smoke from my office/home. I finally came across this unit, and it is amazing!! Nothing compares to it. It is so quiet, and works so well, from the second we turned it on we could see it immediately start to remove the smoke. This unit is 100% worth every penny! If you need something strong, this unit is the best. Also, I emailed the company and asked how long it would take to ship, they called me the same day, and said they were going to prepare it and ship it the same day, at no extra cost!! I am 100% satisfied all around with the unit and the company. Thanks for a great holiday treat! ”
“Your 501 is FANTASTIC! Four hours of online research was very well spent. Your product was 'highly touted' on MANY sites, and now I know why. It has surpassed ALL my expections. At first,I doubted its effectiveness of moving air, because it does not make any noise. On 'level 3', it's quieter than my computer. It's efficiency and quality in EVERY way is superb. I couldn't be happier. The only way to improve this product is to give it a remote control. A very satisfied customer, "

"I placed my unit in my basement and within 24 hours the moldy, musty smell had disappeared!"
My name is Allison Morton and in the year 2000 I was diagnosed with multiple allergies (including molds), as well being chemically sensitive. As I suspected mold in my basement, my specialist recommended an air purifier from AllerAir. I placed my unit in my basement, and within 24 hours the moldy, musty smell had disappeared! I was so happy with your product, I purchased a second unit for my bedroom! I believe these air purifiers have improved the air quality in my home. Also, 9 years later, I believe it has contributed to my improved health. Finally, a year ago, I convinced my parents to purchase a unit, and their results have also been very positive.

"Your air purifiers have been a wonderful component to our lab safety and air quality for our students!"
We have been using the 5000 series Vocarb air cleaner from AllerAir for almost five years in our painting studios at Texas Tech University. They have been a wonderful component to our lab safety and air quality for our students. The air cleaners are quiet, powerful, and the filters are easily changed. They do a terrific job at filtering out the air toxins in our painting studios.

"...the mold spore concentration dropped substantially. "
Upon using the 5000 Pro Exec on a mold remediation claim, our readings showed the mold spore concentration dropped substantially. Our initial tests showed mold concentration levels of 53,655 spores/m3 before any mold remediation attempts were made. Once the mold remediation was started and the 5000 Pro Exec machine ran for approximately 36 hours, a second test showed mold concentration levels had dropped to 1,641 spore/m3. We found the machine very successful in decreasing mold counts and would not hesitate to recommend this machine for such mold remediation projects. Our company will continue to use the 5000 Pro Exec on similar jobs in the future.
